Roles & Permissions

Understand the different team roles and what each can access.

Available Roles

KendoAI has four team roles:

Owner - Full control over team settings, billing, and members

Admin - Can manage members and settings, but not billing

Member - Standard access to training and their own analytics

Viewer - Read-only access to permitted data

Permission Matrix

What each role can do:

Training & Agents - All roles can train; only Admins+ can share agents to team

Call Analysis - All roles can upload; Viewers can only see their own calls

Analytics - Members see their own; Admins see all team data

Team Management - Only Admins and Owners

Billing - Only Owners

Settings - Admins can modify most; Owners have full control

Changing Roles

  1. Update a member's role:
  2. 1. Go to Team > Members
  3. 2. Find the member
  4. 3. Click the role dropdown
  5. 4. Select the new role
  6. 5. Confirm the change
  7. Changes take effect immediately.

Owner Transfer

Transferring team ownership:

- Only the current Owner can transfer ownership

- Go to Team > Settings > Danger Zone

- Select the new Owner

- Confirm the transfer

- You'll become an Admin after transfer

This action cannot be easily undone.

Best Practices

Role assignment tips:

- Limit the number of Owners and Admins

- Use Viewer role for stakeholders who just need visibility

- Managers should typically be Admins

- Individual contributors are usually Members
