Uploading Calls
Upload and transcribe sales calls for AI-powered analysis.
Supported Formats
KendoAI accepts these audio and video formats:
Audio - MP3, WAV, M4A
Video - MP4 (audio is extracted)
Other formats (OGG, FLAC, MOV, WebM) are not currently supported and will be rejected at upload.
For best results, use high-quality audio with minimal background noise.
Manual Upload
- Upload a call recording manually:
- 1. Go to the Calls tab (under Operate in the sidebar)
- 2. Click 'Upload Call' or drag and drop your file
- 3. Add call details (customer name, date, call type)
- 4. Select the team member who made the call (if applicable)
- 5. Click 'Upload and Analyze'
- 6. Wait for transcription and analysis to complete
- Processing typically takes 2-5 minutes depending on call length.
Automatic Import
Save time by connecting integrations for automatic import:
- Zoom - Automatically imports cloud recordings
- Fathom - Syncs meetings with transcripts
- Fireflies - Imports meeting recordings
See the Integrations section for setup instructions.
Live Call Submission
For calls not recorded through integrations, use manual live call submission:
Start a 'Live Call' session in KendoAI
Enter call details in real-time
Paste or type your notes and transcript
Submit for analysis
This is useful for phone calls or meetings without recordings.
Transcription Quality
Tips for better transcription accuracy:
- Use good quality microphones
- Minimize background noise
- Speak clearly and at a moderate pace
- Avoid overlapping speech when possible
- Use headsets for remote calls
You can manually edit transcripts after processing if corrections are needed.
Renaming a Call
You can rename a call at any time after it's processed — open the call and edit its title.
Because call history search matches on the call title (and rep name), a clear, consistent title makes calls easier to find later. For example, include the prospect's name: "Discovery - Joe Smith (Acme)".
